FIGURE AND PORTRAIT
ONGOING

FIGURE AND PORTRAIT is a new program designed for youth (15+) and adults who wish to acquire or strengthen practical skills in drawing and painting the human figure and portrait.

Time: every Wednesday from 17:00 to 18:30 or from 19:00 to 20:30.
Price: 140 EUR / month.
All art materials are provided.
A model is present in all sessions.

This is a unique opportunity to learn how to draw and paint the human figure in a consistent way, working directly from life — each session includes a live model. Sketches, drawings, graphic works, and paintings of various formats are created by observing and analyzing the human figure, movements, and face from different angles and in different environments and lighting conditions. Great attention is given to sketching, learning to capture what is essential freely and confidently, focusing on fundamental forms and internal axes. The emphasis is placed not on meticulous analysis of details, but on creatively conveying the character of the person being depicted, mastering different materials and techniques, and developing confidence in one’s abilities.

The goal is active, enjoyable, and challenge-filled practice that empowers you to freely depict people in any angle or pose and, ultimately, to create compelling figurative compositions and expressive portraits based both on observation and imagination.

Groups are limited to up to 10 participants. Individual attention and support are ensured for every student, whether a beginner or more advanced.

Classes are led by lecturer and painter Sigita Morkūnaitė-Gipė
